ASSISTANT CITY ATTORNEY I – CRIMINAL
Grant-funded Salary: $64,890. - 84,961. Exam # 20640
The City of Minneapolis is accepting applications for one FT, grant-funded, permanent vacancy in the Criminal Division of the City Attorney’s Office. (Grant-funded for calendar year 2010.)

• Perform professional legal work;
• prepare / try misdemeanor / gross misdemeanor cases;
• work with investigators;
• interview individuals to prepare criminal complaints;
• work with crime victim liaisons to prepare domestic assault cases;
• prepare appeals of district court decisions;
• conduct legal research; etc.

REQUIRES: Juris Doctor Degree from an accredited law school; license to practice law in the state of MN (by date of hire); background check; drug / alcohol test; cover letter; & responses to specific questions.
