WILLIAM MITCHELL COLLEGE OF LAW invites applications for part-time adjunct faculty for academic year 2008-2009. We are seeking applicants for writing, representation and appellate advocacy professors:1. Writing professors teach first-year students about office memos, advice and demand letters, and motion practice memoranda in a year-long course.
2. Representation professors critique first-year students in interviewing, counseling, negotiating, and oral argument exercises in a year-long course.
3. Appellate advocacy professors teach second- and third-year students about appellate briefs and oral argument in a semester-long course.We have both day and evening class times. Successful applicants will have several or more years of practice experience. HOPE Adoption & Family Services International, Inc. is seeking an additional 1 to 3 individuals to join its Board of Directors. HOPE is a 501c3 non-profit organization who serves clients in both Minnesota and Wisconsin on a sliding scale fee basis. The mission of the agency is to us unite children with families through adoption, both domestic and international. HOPE stands for Helping Other with a Personal Emphasis. HOPE respects all types of families and serves clients without regard to race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, socioeconomic status, or religion. HOPE has a proud history of serving the GLBT community. The Board meets on a monthly basis and members are generally involved in a committee which meets an additional time each month. The time commitment is approximately 2 to 6 hours per month.
