Civil Rights Lecture at William Mitchell College of Law, April 27

The Minnesota Lavender Bar Association is pleased to invite you to a very special Public Square program at William Mitchell College of Law on Friday, April 27th, at 6 p.m. with author and professor Kenji Yoshino. In his book Covering: The Hidden Assault on Our Civil Rights, the acclaimed Yale Law School professor melds autobiography with legal scholarship to call for a redefinition of civil rights in our law and culture. In his program, he will discuss how everyone covers their differences to blend into the mainstream and how that act poses a hidden threat to our civil rights. The public is cordially invited, and registration for the program is requested. One bias CLE credit has been awarded.

Prior to the program, from 5 to 6 p.m., MLBA and the National Asian/Pacific American Bar Association are co-hosting a reception and book-signing with Professor Yoshino at William Mitchell. Copies of Prof. Yoshino’s book will be available for sale at that time.

For more information about Prof. Yoshino’s program and to register to attend this CLE: http://www.wmitchell.edu/news/articles/032307-Kenji-Yoshino-covering.html
