MSBA launches second phase of diversity study
|
|
After issuing a report examining issues within legal workplaces involving race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, and disability – the broadest study conducted by a state bar anywhere in the country – the Minnesota State Bar Association has convened a follow-up group to make recommendations to Minnesota legal employers regarding “best practices” in addressing these concerns. The group, called the MSBA Implementation Task Force on Diversity in the Profession, will complete its work and have a report ready for MSBA consideration and endorsement at its 2008 convention. MLBA board member Phil Duran has been appointed as the chair of the Task Force’s sexual orientation subcommittee and will coordinate development of recommendations related to GLBT employees and workplace issues. If you would be interested in being a part of that subcommittee, please send an email to that effect to info@mnlavbar.org.
