Picture this: 30 attorneys, law students, professors, and legal professionals walking together down Hennepin Avenue. Identifiable by their suit jackets and brief-case shaped signs reading, “Attorney,” “Family Law,” “Criminal Law,” “Counselor,” “Advocate,” “GLBT Human Rights,” “Guardian,” “Teacher,” etc. A banner in front of the group announces, “Minnesota Lavender Bar Association.” As they walk, 125,000 cheer and wave greetings from the sidewalk.
Sound too good to be true? Help us make this vision come true and walk with us at this year’s Twin Cities Pride Parade on Sunday, June 28!
We also need volunteers at our booth in the festival Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28. We are looking for volunteers who will commit to a 2-hour shift. We have a beautiful tent that provides shade and we’ll have water and snacks for all volunteers.
Please join us at Pride this year! This is a wonderful opportunity to spend time with one another, meet members of the community, and enjoy the summer.
To sign-up as a volunteer, contact Jenny Ryan at jennyryan@gmail.com.
